Based on Piti’s play with music “To Bee or Not to Bee”, this 25 minute storytelling event uses puppetry, clowning, dance, music and audience participation to tell Farmer James’ comic, tragic and ultimately hopeful story. Piti created “To Bee” and “The Story of My Bees” to raise awareness about the honeybee’s plight and give children and adults tools for helping pollinators thrive in their communities. Children will receive bee-friendly flower seeds to take home and plant at the end of the show.
The next public performance will be at Tuesday Market in Northampton on May 26. More about Bee Weeks in Amherst, Northampton (5/26 – 6/7) and Greenfield (5/30 – 6/7) at www.beeweek.org
