Mill, Mountain, River: A Child’s Eye View of Olde Coleraine at Riverfest, Shelburne Falls on June 7

Shelburne Falls’ Piti Theatre Company presents Mill, Mountain, River: A Childs’ Eye View of Olde Coleraine at the Senior Center, 7 Main Street, Shelburne Falls, 1:15 pm. This new play with music by our singer/songwriter in residence Carrie Ferguson is being created during a residency at Colrain Central School with their 3rd grade class. Mill, Mountain, River takes us back to the Griswold Cotton Mill, the invention of the modern day bee hive, the Colrain – Shelburne Falls Trolley and the connection of the North River with the lives of ordinary and extraordinary citizens of Olde Coleraine, 1870 – 1896. The Frog and Flower Parade will (literally) lead into this performance which will become a resource for local libraries, schools and historical societies. Commissioned by the Greater Shelburne Falls Area Business Association and the Deerfield River Watershed Association.
