Choreography and Dance
"I had a great experience with Godeliève Richard’s choreography workshop. The course consisted of a number of Sunday sessions in the late spring and summer and now regularly in the fall, to culminate in a performance. Godeliève is an experienced teacher and kindly, creatively and patiently, led us through the process of choreographing our own dance numbers, starting from the very basics of experimenting with a variety of movements, putting them together to create phrases, distilling one’s vision and intent of expression all the way to putting the finishing touches on our dances and giving us the tools to put on a real show . . . I would recommend this class. It is a great resource to have such an offering locally." - Star Atkeson, Charlemont
"I had the pleasure of working with choreographer Godeliève Richard when she set her dance “The Mill Dream” on the young dancers of Ballet Renversé in 2015. Her dance imagery and the blending of that imagery with local history - the textile mills of Colrain - were memorable. One of the young dancers who performed the Mill Dream is still dancing and remembers it as a powerful experience. And Godeliève is a pleasure to work with."
- Karen Shulda, Choreographer and Director, Ballet Renversé (retired)
