Wednesday, Dec. 10th, 6 - 9 pm: WRITING THE 10 MINUTE PLAY

Have you considered writing a play but weren't sure where to start? This workshop will plunge you into the playwrights' world - plot, character, dialogue, setting - and give you some accessible jumping off points for continuing on your own. You will leave with the beginning (if not the middle or the end) of your own ten minute play, a format used by many theatres in festivals across the country.
Led by Jonathan Mirin

Cost: $35

Saturday, Jan. 3rd, 10 am - 12 pm: POETRY IN MOTION
A workshop for children ages 7 - 12 who would like to explore the possibilities created when words are joined with movement. See description below. Led by Godeliève Richard & Jonathan Mirin

Cost: $15

Wednesday, Jan. 7th, 6 - 9 pm: POETRY IN MOTION
You don't need to be a poet or a dancer to join us in discovering the possibilities created when words are joined with movement. Participants will leave with tools useful for the physical expression of any text whether it's a solo performance, poetry reading or Happy Birthday. We will also explore how the reverse is also true: movement can help us write the words. Led by Godeliève Richard & Jonathan Mirin

Cost: $35

Wednesday, Jan. 21st, 6 - 9 pm: WRITING FUNNY (NEW DATE!)
Louder! Faster! Funnier! Could that memo, story, poem, or condolence card benefit from a dash of . . . humor? This workshop is designed to enlarge your armoire of comedy writing tools. Laughter can bring people together and soften difficult moments in the workplace and at home. We will look at some of comedy's masters and use their inspiration as a jumping off point for our own jaundiced eye.
Led by Jonathan Mirin

Cost: $35

Saturday, Jan. 24th, 10 am - 12 pm: STORY BUILDERS
Out of a box of costumes climb beings that hide deep in our imaginations . . . Together we will create their story, practicing our writing and language skills while characters develop their personalities and interact with each other. The result is our own story and lots of fun . . .

Cost: $15

An online format allows each writer to progress at their own pace with individualized feedback. Students can focus on playwriting, screenwriting or both.
